"The Garden Hotline is a public program sponsored through local government agencies who have an interest in seeing behavior change related to natural yard care in King County. We are tasked with providing evaluations based on our interactions with the community and reporting to our sponsors. Maggie has helped us develop multiple methods to reach our diverse audiences. These include online surveys for our email customers, on the spot surveys with residents at festivals and also a very helpful series of class questions to imbed into our workshops in the community. She has been invaluable in helping to finesse what works best for which audience, whether we are interacting with homeowners in a suburban neighborhood or recent immigrants to the Northwest who live in multi-family housing. Her special skill is in recognizing how to draw out responses that help us see what kinds of impact our natural yard care education might be making in all of these varied scenarios and with different residents. "Maggie provided evaluation services to our Economic Resilience Initiative, which included financial education, financial coaching and matched savings programs for survivors of domestic violence.  Maggie was helpful from the very beginning as we developed both quantitative and qualitative outcome goals. She also worked closely with us to think through how to best collect the information from our participants, many of whom do not speak English. She really helped me to understand a lot about how to ask questions and gather data. Because she took the time to help us understand, we were able to continue to use many of the tools she helped us to develop to continue to track our participant outcomes.
